By directive of the Board Chairperson, Ms Ayanda Khumalo, this serves to share the Draft Amendments to the 2004 Boxing Regulations.
As per resolution of the Boxing Convention, the Board of Boxing South Africa hereby invite inputs of the Boxing Fraternity on these proposed amended regulations, prior to their submission to the Minister for final public consultation.
As part of this process, there will be focused consultation process with respective licensee categories to workshop the proposed amendments and ensure that each licensee properly understands areas where the amendments are proposed, rationale for those proposal and how each amendment is likely to impact on the respective licensee. The CEO’s Office will communicate the dates for consultation with each licensee category.
Alongside that process stated above, the draft amended regulations and the accompanying checklist are hereby available for the boxing sector perusal and inputs. We invite all stakeholders to carefully review the draft and share their valuable feedback before 31 August 2025. Once all inputs have been received, the Board will consolidate the feedback and submit the updated draft to the Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture for public consultation.
